It looks like it'll be a fabulous race day for all those Sydneysiders who plan on participating in the annual TCS Sydney Marathon tomorrow, Sunday, August 30.

There may be a few clouds in the sky when the race starts just before sunrise at 6:15am for elite wheelchair athletes and 6:30am for mass participation at Miller Street, North Sydney, though skies are expected to be mostly sunny. Race start temperature will be a cool 10-11°C, feeling a degree or two chillier than that in light west-northwesterly winds.

Down at Juniors Kingsford on Anzac Parade, at about the halfway point of the marathon course, temperatures will rise to about 16°C by 10am under mostly clear skies.

By the time the marathon's official cutoff time of 1:30pm rolls around, conditions at the Sydney Opera House finish line are expected to be sunny with a top of 21°C, feeling closer to 19°C in light east-southeasterly winds, just in time for a nice relaxing cool down while admiring the stunning harbour views.
