Thursday 08:30 z

Monsoon flow & unstable air are driving showers & storms across the northern tropics, inland & eastern Qld & NW WA, with locally heavy falls in Qld. A strong SW’ly flow brings gusty showers and high ground snow to Tas. A high causes gusty winds across the south & east.

Friday 10:30 z

Monsoonal flow will continue to drive rain & storms across the northern tropics, extending into Qld. Onshore winds will bring showers to NE NSW. Hot N’ly winds will affect inland southern WA as a low pressure system moves through, while high pressure keeps much of the south dry.

Saturday 10:30 z

Monsoonal flow will continue to drive rain and storms across the northern tropics, extending into Qld. Onshore winds will bring showers to NE NSW. Hot N’ly winds will affect inland southeast WA, while high pressure keeps much of the south dry.

Sunday 10:30 z

Monsoon flow over the northern tropics, along with a low near the NT–Qld border, will continue to bring rain & storms. High pressure ridges will keep mainly dry elsewhere, including Qld's south, but with a few showers along the NSW coast. Hot air will push into the south.

Monday 10:30 z

Monsoon flow over the northern tropics, along with a low near the NT-Qld border, should continue to bring rain & storms. An unstable airmass may trigger showers across southern WA. A low may draw heat into the south and southeast.

Tuesday 10:30 z

Monsoon flow over the northern tropics, along with a low near the NT-Qld border, should continue to bring rain & storms. An unstable airmass may trigger showers across eastern WA. A low may draw heat into the south and southeast before a ridge builds in.

Wednesday 10:30 z

Monsoonal flow over the NT extends into Qld with an embedded low, driving widespread showers & storms across the northern tropics. An unstable air mass causes showers & storms over inland Qld, NSW & Vic. Hot E’ly winds affect WA’s west. A cool SW’ly flow brings showers to Tas.
