Low pressure is producing rain & storms across the northern tropics. Ex-TC Luana is weakening but still causing rainfall over WA's southeast, with lighter rain in the SE. Hot conditions over large parts of SA, Qld, NSW & Vic. High pressure over the south is bringing gusty winds.

Thursday 10:30 z

Remnants of Tropical Cyclone Luana will bring showers to southeast WA. Low pressure over the tropics and interior will deliver heavy rain and storms across north Qld, the NT, and northeast WA. Onshore winds should bring the odd shower to the east coast.

Friday 10:30 z

Low pressure will bring showers, storms and areas of heavy rain across the northern tropics. Easterly winds around high pressure will drive showers and a few storms across parts of the east coast.

Saturday 10:30 z

Low pressure over the tropics will continue to bring heavy rain and storms over the northern tropics and parts of the northern and western interior. Easterly winds will drive showers over eastern Qld. Unstable air will produce storms over southeast Aus.

Sunday 10:30 z

Low pressure over the tropics will maintain rain and storms over the tropics and parts of the northern and western interior. A cool change will tap into unstable air, generating showers and storms over Tas, Vic, NSW. Easterly winds will bring showers to eastern Qld.

Monday 10:30 z

Low pressure should continue to bring rain and storms for the northern tropic, extending through to northwest WA and central Qld. A trough should bring gusty showers, rain and storms to NSW, Vic and southern Qld. Dry elsewhere under high pressure.

Tuesday 10:30 z

Low pressure should continue to bring rain and storms for the northern tropic, extending through to northwest WA and central Qld. High pressure should continue to drive gusty showers, rain and storms to NSW, Vic, southern Qld and Tas. Dry elsewhere under high pressure.
