An inland low and trough over northern and eastern Australia will generate showers and thunderstorms, particularly for central and northern Qld. Onshore winds will bring showers to coastal parts of Qld, southeast SA, Tas and southern Vic. Fine elsewhere.

Wednesday 19:30 z

A broad region of low pressure is triggering storms across the northern tropics. A trough over eastern Australia is causing showers and thunderstorms across central Qld. A front crossing Tas brings showers & the odd storm. Onshore winds are bringing showers to southern Vic.

Thursday 10:30 z

A region of low pressure extending across northern Aus will generate showers and storms over northern WA, Top End and north and central inland Qld. Moist SW winds will bring showers to Tas and southern Vic. Dry and very warm to hot across the central and western interior.

Friday 10:30 z

A tropical low approaches northwest WA bringing increasing winds, rain and storms to the Kimberley. A region of low pressure over the NT to central Qld brings some storms. S'ly winds will drive a few showers onto the north NSW and southeast Qld coasts.

Saturday 10:30 z

A low off north west WA will bring heavy rainfall. A broad region of low pressure across inland northern Australia will bring rain across NT and north and central QLD. A low in SA will bring hot dry northerly air to central and southeast Australia.

Sunday 10:30 z

A low off north west WA will bring heavy rainfall to the north of the state. A broad region of low pressure will bring showers and storms to the NT and QLD, being heavier in the north. A low east of TAS will bring in hot air to the south east.

Monday 10:30 z

Remaining unsettled across northern Australia with further heavy showers and thunderstorms expected. Onshore winds will bring showers and storms to the central and northern coasts of Qld. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible for northeast NSW/SE Qld.
