A front will draw patchy rain & storms across the south, mainly Tas & Vic. Showers on the eastern seaboard will become confined to NSW's north & Qld as onshore winds ease further south. A few storms in the northern tropics & inland WA. A high will keep the interior dry.

A front should cross the southeast bringing heavy showers and gusty, potentially damaging winds, across parts of SA, Tas, Vic & southern NSW. A tropical low or cyclone could approach Far North Qld. Breezy across central and the remainder of southern Australia in a strong ridge.
