A strong high pressure ridge is directing showers over the east coast. A weak trough and cold front brings patchy rain and isolated storms to SA, western NSW, Vic and Tas. Another cold front and trough is driving showers across parts of southwest and central west WA.

A north-west cloud band will bring showers from central WA though the interior, with rain and thunderstorms possible over southern NSW, Vic and Tas. Moist onshore winds around ridges of high pressure will bring showers to northeast NSW, eastern Qld and southwest WA.
