A gusty cold front is clipping the southeast, introducing very cold air over Tas, Vic and southeast NSW, with snow in Tas and flurries in the alps. A persistent low pressure area brings showers and storms to WA while a belt of high pressure keeps most of the remainder settled.

Very cold air will stream over Tas, Vic and southern NSW in the wake of a front, bringing alpine snow flurries and some showers along the NSW coast. A trough over WA will continue to drive rain and storms. Humid E'ly winds will continue to bring showers to the far north.
