Moist onshore winds are bringing showers and storms to northeast NSW and Qld's east. Tropical moisture feeding into a front to the south is generating patchy rain and some storms over WA and SA's west. High pressure clears wind and showers from southwest WA.

Saturday 09:30 z

Moist, unstable winds will cause showers over the NT Top End, eastern Qld and northeast NSW, some heavy. Showers and storms for southeast WA as moisture feeds a trough, reaching SA and Tas later in the day. A high should keep much of the nation’s eastern interior clear and dry.

Sunday 09:30 z

A weak trough will produce showers and the odd storm over SA’s south, Tas, western Vic and southwestern NSW. A trough developing off WA’s west coast may bring showers and storms later. Moist SE’ly winds should bring showers to eastern Qld, northeast NSW and the northeast NT.

Monday 09:30 z

Rain and storms, some heavy, should scatter across WA's west as moisture feeds a lingering trough. A trough will shift east from the southern interior, allowing showers and storms to ease over inland SA and NSW but shift into northeast NSW and southeast Qld later in the day.

A cold front should trigger showers and thunderstorms over WA’s west and south and may cause showers over SA’s south and Tas’s west later. A trough and moist southeasterly winds may continue to trigger showers and thunderstorms over eastern Qld and northeast NSW.

Fronts crossing southern Aus may trigger showers and storms over southern WA and western Tas. A trough and southeasterly winds may continue to trigger showers and storms over eastern Qld and northeast NSW. Showery E’ly winds for the NT Top End. Dry elsewhere with high pressure.
