A deep low is moving further east over the Tasman Sea, maintaining gusty winds and a few showers across Vic, eastern NSW and Tas. Showers also affect southern SA in a SW’ly flow. A weak trough is producing showers and isolated thunderstorms in western WA.

Saturday 09:30 z
A few showers will persist in the southeast and east as gusty winds gradually ease. A few showers will develop over inland WA in an unstable air mass. Mostly dry elsewhere under broad high pressure and drier winds.

Sunday 09:30 z
A few showers will persist in eastern NSW and will also develop over eastern Qld in onshore winds around a high. Onshore winds will bring a few showers to western Tas and far north Qld as well. Mostly dry elsewhere under broad high pressure and drier winds.

Monday 09:30 z
A high should ease showers across most of Vic & SA while bringing a cold morning to the southeast. A few showers should develop over NE NSW, the Qld coast & western Tas in onshore flow around the high. A strong front should generate intense winds, showers & storms in western WA.

Tuesday 09:30 z
A few showers should develop over NE NSW, eastern Qld & northern Tas in onshore flow around a high. An unstable air mass should support showers & isolated storms in inland Qld and NSW. A cold front should generate intense winds, showers & storms in western WA.

Wednesday 09:30 z
A cold front over the Bight should generate showers over southern SA, western Tas and Vic. Moist onshore winds should bring further showers to eastern Qld and eastern NSW. Showers should develop across southern and western WA in an unstable air mass.

Thursday 09:30 z
A cold front should bring showers to southeast SA, Vic and Tas. A moist and unstable air mass ahead of the front should support showers & isolated thunderstorms in NSW and Qld. A trough of low pressure should generate showers over northwest WA.
