A low and a cold front will generate heavy rain, strong winds and isolated thunderstorms over the NT’s south, SA, Vic, Tas and western NSW. A post-frontal trough should bring a few showers to WA’s south. Moist easterly winds will bring showers to eastern Qld and the NT Top End.

Thursday 13:30 z
A deep, slow-moving low over the Bight is bringing showers and gusty winds to southwest SA. A cold front associated with the low is causing heavy rain stretching from northeast WA through central Aus into Vic and Tas. Showery easterly winds for Qld's east and the NT Top End.

Friday 09:30 z
A low and a cold front will generate heavy rain, strong winds and isolated thunderstorms over the NT, western Qld, NSW, Vic and Tas. Cool southerly winds in the wake of the front will bring a few showers to southern parts of WA and SA. Showery onshore winds for eastern Qld.

Saturday 09:30 z
A front will generate rain and isolated thunderstorms over eastern Qld and northeast NSW. A secondary front and cool southerly winds will drive showers over southern SA, southern NSW, Vic and Tas. Moist easterly winds will bring showers to the northern tropics.

Sunday 09:30 z
A weak low may form in the Tasman Sea in the wake of a cold front, sending showers over eastern Qld, NSW, Vic and Tas. Another cold front should bring showers and gusty winds to southwest WA late in the day. A high will generate mainly fine and dry conditions elsewhere.

Monday 09:30 z
A front and a trough will generate a few showers for southwest WA, impacting southwest Vic and Tas later in the day. A weak low in the Tasman Sea may continue to drive showers over eastern parts of Qld, NSW and Vic. High pressure should maintain dry conditions elsewhere.

Tuesday 09:30 z
A front may generate showers and gusty winds over southern WA, southeast SA, Vic and Tas. Moist southerly winds may drive the odd shower over eastern parts of Qld and NSW. High pressure should maintain dry conditions elsewhere, leading to a cold morning for inland NSW.
