Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Moderate Flood Warning For The Tully River Issued at 10:12 PM AEST on Saturday 21 March 2026 Flood Warning Number: 6 MODERATE FLOODING EXPECTED AT EURAMO OVERNIGHT SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across the Tully River Catchment during Friday and Saturday and moderate flooding is expected at Euramo. Further river levels are possible with forecast rainfall. The situation is monitored and the warning will be updated as required. A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Cape York Peninsula and North Tropical Coast. Tully River: Moderate flooding is expected along the Tully River. The Tully River at Euramo is currently at 7.90 m and steady, with minor flooding. The Tully River at Euramo is expected to exceed the moderate flood level (8.00 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday. The river may reach around 8.30 m Sunday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
