Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Minor Flood Warning For The Mersey River Issued at 10:17 PM AEST on Tuesday 30 June 2026 Flood Warning Number: 2 MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT KIMBERLEY AND POSSIBLE AT LATROBE BRIDGE WEDNESDAY MORNING Since Tuesday morning, moderate rainfall totals have been observed over parts of the Mersey River catchment which has resulted in river level rises. Minor flooding is occurring at Kimberley, further downstream at Latrobe Bridge minor flooding is possible during Wednesday morning. Rainfall is forecast for the remainder of the week which may result in further river level rises. Mersey River - Liena to Kimberley: Minor flooding is occurring along the Mersey River at Kimberley. The Mersey River at Kimberley is currently at 2.49 m and rising, with minor flooding. The Mersey River at Kimberley may peak near 2.60 m overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, with minor flooding. Mersey River - Kimberley to Latrobe township: Minor flooding is possible at Latrobe Bridge during Wednesday morning. The Mersey River at Latrobe Bridge is currently at 2.84 m and rising, below the minor flood level. The Mersey River at Latrobe Bridge may peak near the minor flood level (3.10 m) early Wednesday morning. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
