MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BALLINA LATE TUESDAY EVENING AND AT CORAKI WEDNESDAY MORNING
Moderate to heavy rainfall since late Sunday has caused river rises along the Wilsons and Richmond Rivers. As this flow moves downstream, a near minor flood peak is possible Wednesday morning at Coraki. At Ballina, minor flooding is possible late Tuesday evening with the arrival of upstream flows and the high tide.
Rainfall has eased, and no further heavy rainfall is expected.
Richmond River:
Minor flooding is possible at Coraki and Ballina.
The Richmond River at Coraki is currently at 2.20 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Richmond River at Coraki may peak near the minor flood level (3.40 m) Wednesday morning.
The Richmond River at Ballina (Burns Point) is currently at 1.88 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Richmond River at Ballina (Burns Point) may peak near the minor flood level (2.00 m) Tuesday evening.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
