Cancellation Of Severe Weather Warning
for Hunter, Metropolitan and Illawarra Forecast Districts.
Issued at 10:35 pm Saturday, 10 January 2026.
Damaging winds are no longer expected with the southerly change in NSW.
Weather Situation
A vigorous southerly wind change has made it to the Central Coast tonight. It will continue moving up the NSW coast through Sunday, but is no longer expected to produce damaging wind gusts.

Hunter, Metropolitan and Illawarra
This warning is now cancelled.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Don't walk, ride or drive through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.
