DAMAGING SURF
Weather Situation
A low pressure system near New Zealand and a high pressure system near Tasmania are combining to generate strong to gale-force southerly winds and large waves through much of the Tasman Sea.
These conditions are expected to maintain large and powerful waves at Lord Howe Island until Tuesday night.
The NSW State Emergency Service advise you:
- Stay out of the water and stay well away from surf-exposed areas.
- Check your property regularly for erosion or inundation by sea water, and if necessary raise goods and electrical items.
For emergency help in flood and storms, ring the SES on 132 500.
