At Willara Crossing a minor flood peak was observed early Saturday morning. This flood peak is now moving downstream and is likely to reach Wanaaring during Thursday. Another flood peak currently upstream of Hungerford is likely to arrive at Willara Crossing around Friday. A Minor Flood Warning is current for the Paroo River in Queensland. Paroo River (NSW): Minor flooding is occurring along the Paroo River downstream of Hungerford. The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is currently at 1.22 m and rising slowly, with minor flooding. The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is likely to peak near 1.40 m around Friday, with minor flooding. The Paroo River at Wanaaring is currently at 2.38 m and rising, just below the minor flood level. The Paroo River at Wanaaring is expected to peak around the minor flood level (2.40 m) during Thursday. Renewed rises are expected as upstream floodwaters arrive. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
