MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT KIEWA (MAINSTREAM) AND AT BANDIANA
Rainfall across the Kiewa River catchment during Sunday and Monday has resulted in river level rises and areas of minor to moderate flooding. No further significant rainfall is forecast for the catchment for the next few days to cause renewed river level rises.
Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge:
Minor flooding is occurring at Kiewa (Mainstream) and at Bandiana.
The Kiewa River Channel at Kiewa is currently at 3.35 m and falling slowly, with minor flooding.
The Kiewa River Channel at Kiewa is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.30 m) during Thursday and into Friday.
The Kiewa River at Bandiana is currently at 2.95 m and falling slowly, with minor flooding.
The Kiewa River at Bandiana is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.80 m) during Thursday and into Friday.
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
