Western and Central Plateau forecast districts
Bush walkers are advised that strong westerly winds, cold temperatures and snow as low as 400 metres are expected during Thursday night. Snow may fall to around 300 metres in the far south. These hazardous conditions are expected to occur in parts of the Western and Central Plateau forecast districts. The snow level is expected to rise above 1000 metres during Friday morning.
The next warning will be issued by 5:00 am EST Friday.
