Final Flood Warning For The Mulgrave And Russell Rivers

FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING ALONG THE MULGRAVE AND RUSSELL RIVERS
Moderate to heavy rainfall across the Mulgrave and Russell Rivers catchment over the last few days, caused rapid river level rises across the Mulgrave and Russell Rivers catchments, resulting in minor flooding at Peets Bridge and Gordonvale. River levels are falling and flooding have eased along the Mulgrave and Russell Rivers.
Further rainfall is forecast later this week, which may cause renewed river level rises. The situation is being closely monitored, and a new warning will be issued if required.
Mulgrave River:
River levels are easing along the Mulgrave River. Minor flooding has eased at The Fisheries.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge is currently at 3.16 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge is likely to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m).
The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale is currently at 8.90 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale is likely to remain below the minor flood level (12.00 m).
Russell River:
River levels are easing along the Russell River. Minor flooding has eased at Clyde Rd.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
