River levels upstream of Augathella have risen rapidly in response to this rainfall. Moderate flooding is occurring at Augathella, with river levels likely to peak around the major flood level from Tuesday afternoon. This flood peak is expected to move towards Charleville over the next few days. The situation is being monitored and forecasts for Charleville will be provided as upstream peaks are observed. Warrego River to Charleville: Major flooding is possible at Augathella. The Warrego River at Augathella is currently at 5.75 m and steady, with moderate flooding. The Warrego River at Augathella may peak near the major flood level (6.00 m) from Tuesday afternoon. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
