Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Moderate Flood Warning For The Tully And Murray Rivers Issued at 02:38 PM AEST on Saturday 21 March 2026 Flood Warning Number: 5 MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT EURAMO Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across the Tully River Catchment from Friday into Saturday, resulting in rising river levels across the catchment and minor flooding at Euramo. Moderate flooding is possible at Euramo Saturday evening. Higher river levels are possible if heavy rainfall persists. Further rainfall is possible for the remainder of Saturday and into Sunday. The catchment is already saturated, and will respond quickly to further rainfall. This situation is being monitored and this warning will be updated as required. A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Cape York Peninsula and North Tropical Coast. Tully River: Moderate flooding is possible along the Tully River. The Tully River at Euramo is currently at 7.40 m and rising, with minor flooding. The Tully River at Euramo may reach around the moderate flood level (8.00 m) Saturday evening. Further rises are possible if heavy rainfall persists. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
