MAJOR FLOODING SLOWLY EASING ALONG CHARLEYS CREEK AT CHINCHILLA AFTER A PEAK WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
CONDAMINE TOWNSHIP PEAKING NEAR THE MAJOR FLOOD LEVEL
MODERATE FLOODING SLOWLY EASING ALONG THE LOWER CONDAMINE RIVER AT CHINCHILLA WEIR
Along Charleys Creek, the flood peak is now downstream of Chinchilla where major flooding is slowly easing. Another flood peak is now downstream of Chinchilla Weir along the lower Condamine River where renewed rises due to back-flow from Charleys Creek are now slowly easing. These flows are combining along the lower Condamine River at Condamine Township, where an initial peak near the major flood level is occurring.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.
Condamine River downstream of Oakey Creek to Cotswold:
Major flooding occurring along the Lower Condamine River.
The Condamine River at Chinchilla Weir TW is currently at 8.80 m and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Condamine River at Chinchilla Weir TW may fall below the moderate flood level (8.00 m) overnight Thursday into Friday.
The Condamine River at Condamine was at 7.85 m around 06:51 Thursday and steady, with moderate flooding. The river is estimated to be around a peak near the major flood level.
The Condamine River at Condamine is likely remain around the major flood level (8.00 m) for the remainder of Thursday into Friday.
Charleys Creek:
Major flooding is occurring along Charleys Creek at Chinchilla and upstream at Burncluith Bridge.
The Charleys Creek at Chinchilla peaked at 6.41 m around 01:45 pm Wednesday, with major flooding. The creek is currently at 6.11 m and steady, with major flooding.
The Charleys Creek at Chinchilla may remain around the major flood level (6.00 m) during Thursday. The creek may fall below the major flood level (6.00 m) during Friday 13 March.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
