This will approach Birdsville from Sunday, where the river is likely to exceed the moderate flood level. River levels upstream are steady at Durrie Station, and are continuing to ease at Monkira. Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes: Major flooding is occurring at Roseberth Station. Minor flooding is occurring at Monkira, Durrie and Birdsville. The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is currently at 5.40 m and rising slowly, with minor flooding. The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (6.00 m) from Sunday. A peak above the moderate flood level is expected from early next week.
