    for parts of Ipswich, Logan, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane City, Moreton Bay and Scenic Rim Council Areas.

    INTENSE RAINFALL WITH VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORMS NEAR BRISBANE, IPSWICH AND THE SUNSHINE COAST HINTERLAND.
    
    None for the following areas:
    Ipswich, Logan, Scenic Rim, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane City and Moreton Bay
    The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 1:40 am, VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORMS were detected near Montville, Palmwoods, Nambour, Yandina and Archerfield. They are forecast to affect Camp Hill, Mount Beerwah, Peachester and Landsborough by 2:10 am and Logan Central, Woodridge, Woodford and Beerwah by 2:40 am.
     98 mm was recorded at Rosalie (Baroona Rd) in the 3 hours to 11:43 pm.
     115 mm was recorded at Wongawallan (Welch Pioneer Park) in the 3 hours to 9:34 pm.
     120 mm was recorded at Hotham Creek in the 3 hours to 8:59 pm.
     147 mm WAS RECORDED AT KINGSHOLME (MONTEGO HILLS) IN THE 3 HOURS TO 8:54 PM.
    
    Emergency services advise people to:
     * Park your car undercover away from trees.
     * Close doors and windows.
     * Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
     * Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
     * Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
     * Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
     * Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
     * Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.
    A more general severe thunderstorm warning is also current for parts of the Central Highlands and Coalfields and Capricornia districts.
    
    The next warning is due to be issued by 3:05 am.
