for Herbert and Lower Burdekin Forecast District.

Heavy rainfall has eased for today, with redevelopment possible during the weekend.
Weather Situation
Heavy rainfall has eased for now with converging winds having moved offshore. There is a slight chance of heavy falls redeveloping about the Townsville coastal area overnight tonight. More broadly, isolated areas of heavy rainfall may develop about coastal areas from Ayr to Cairns over the weekend, and warnings will be issued as necessary.
