MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT GLENGYLE AND POSSIBLE AT BEDOURIE FROM THURSDAY WITH SIGNIFICANT RENEWED RIVER LEVEL RISES
MAJOR FLOODING SLOWLY EASING AT MARION DOWNS
The major flood peak along the Georgina River has passed through Marion Downs and is now approaching Eyre Creek, where significant renewed river level rises are likely from Thursday at Bedourie and Glengyle.
No significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.
Georgina River to Marion Downs:
Major flooding is slowly easing along the Georgina River between Roxborough Downs and Marion Downs.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is currently at 6.29 m and steady, with major flooding.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is expected to remain above the major flood level (5.00 m) for the remainder of this week.
Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:
River level rises are occurring along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs. Major flooding is occurring along King Creek at Cluny.
Eyre Creek:
River levels remain elevated along the Eyre Creek with the river level around the major flood level at Glengyle and moderate flooding occurring at Bedourie. Significant renewed rises are expected from Thursday as the main flood peak from upstream arrives.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is currently at 4.57 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie may exceed the major flood level (5.00 m) from Thursday, with continued rises above major likely to continue through to at least the end of the week.
The Eyre Creek at Glengyle is currently at 4.00 m and steady, with major flooding.
The Eyre Creek at Glengyle is likely to remain around the major flood level (4.00 m) for the remainder of Wednesday into Thursday. Renewed rises are likely from Thursday as upstream flows arrive.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
