MINOR FLOODING ESTIMATED TO BE OCCURRING AT WINDORAH
A flood peak is now along the Cooper Creek downstream of Windorah, where it is estimated that the river level is above the minor flood level and falling.
Further areas of showers and rainfall are forecast over parts of the catchment over the next few days which may see renewed river level rises in some areas. This warning will be updated as required.
Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Minor flooding has eased along the Barcoo River at Retreat.
The Barcoo River at Retreat peaked at 2.95 m on Sunday evening, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 1.48 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Barcoo River at Retreat is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.14 m).
Cooper Creek:
Minor flooding is expected to be occurring along Cooper Creek.
No observations are currently available for the Cooper Creek at Windorah. Based on upstream gauges, it is estimated that the creek level is above the minor flood level and falling.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah may fall below the minor flood level (3.00 m) during Thursday.
