MODERATE FLOODING TO EASE AT ST ANNS DURING WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
Flooding is continuing to ease at St Anns where the river level is likely to fall below the moderate flood level during Wednesday afternoon. The river level is likely to continue easing over the next few days.
Areas of showers are forecast across the catchment for the next few days but are not expected to have a significant impact on current river levels.
Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Moderate flooding is easing along the Suttor River.
The Suttor River at St Anns is currently at 6.65 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Suttor River at St Anns is likely to fall below the moderate flood level (6.50 m) Wednesday afternoon. The river is likely to remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m) for the next few days as river levels continue to ease.
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
