Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Moderate Flood Warning For The Tully River Issued at 10:49 AM AEST on Sunday 22 March 2026 Flood Warning Number: 7 MODERATE FLOODING IS OCCURRING AT EURAMO Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across the Tully River Catchment during Friday and Saturday. Moderate flooding is currently occurring at Euramo. Isolated showers are forecast over the catchment during the next few days. The situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as necessary. A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Cape York Peninsula and North Tropical Coast. Tully River: Moderate flooding is occurring along the Tully River. The Tully River at Euramo is currently at 8.25 m and rising slowly, with moderate flooding. The Tully River at Euramo is expected to peak near 8.30 m late Sunday morning, with moderate flooding. The river is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (8.00 m) Sunday afternoon. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
