A second flood peak is approaching Etta Plains. Further renewed rises and minor flooding along the lower Flinders River are possible later this week as upstream flood waters arrive. The situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be issued as required. Flinders River downstream of Richmond: Minor flooding possible along the lower Flinders River at Walkers Bend. The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is currently at 3.51 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Flinders River at Walkers Bend may reach around the minor flood level (5.00 m) during Friday 06 February. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
