MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT DIRRANBANDI AND POSSIBLE AT HEBEL ON SUNDAY
The main flood peak in the lower Balonne River catchment has now passed Dirranbandi. At Dirranbandi, river levels peaked just below the major flood level around Tuesday morning.
As this peak travels downstream into the Bokhara River, river levels at Hebel may peak around the minor flood level on Sunday.
No significant rainfall is forecast across the catchment for the remainder of this week and into the weekend.
Lower Balonne and Bokhara Rivers, Balonne River Minor:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Balonne River Minor at Dirranbandi. Minor flooding is possible along the Bokhara River at Hebel.
The Balonne River at Dirranbandi peaked near 4.71 m around Tuesday morning, with moderate flooding. The river was at 4.24 m and falling at 3:00 pm Wednesday, with minor flooding.
The Balonne River at Dirranbandi may fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) during Thursday.
The Bokhara River at Hebel is currently at 0.89 m and rising slowly, below the minor flood level.
The Bokhara River at Hebel may peak around the minor flood level (1.00 m) on Sunday.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
