Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology South Australia Fire Weather Warning for Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Mount Lofty Ranges, Yorke Peninsula, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East fire weather districts Issued at 04:05 PM CDT on Wednesday 17 December 2025 Weather Situation Extreme fire danger is expected across much of southern South Australia on Thursday. Hot and dry conditions are expected with freshening northeast to northwesterly winds shifting fresh west to southwesterly from the west and south, with fresh and gusty southwest to southerly behind the change during the afternoon and evening. For Thursday 18 December: Extreme Fire Danger for the following areas: Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Mount Lofty Ranges, Yorke Peninsula, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East The Country Fire Service advises you to: Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
