Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology South Australia TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Damaging Winds for parts of Flinders, Riverland, North East Pastoral and Mid North districts. Issued at 5:59 pm Friday, 19 December 2025. Severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts have developed in the RIverland. Weather Situation Scattered thunderstorms have developed in a hot and unstable airmass near a surface trough situated in the east of the state. Isolated severe thunderstorms are likely within the broader warning area and they may persist throughout the remainder of the afternoon. DAMAGING WINDS for the following areas: Flinders, Mid North, Riverland and North East Pastoral Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Danggali Conservation Park. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Secure or put away loose items around your property. * Move cars under cover or away from trees. * Keep clear of fallen power lines. * Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
