Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Minor Flood Warning For The North Esk River Issued at 10:58 AM AEST on Friday 03 July 2026 Flood Warning Number: 5 MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT CORRA LINN Moderate rainfall since Tuesday morning has caused river level rises across the North Esk River catchment, with minor flooding occurring at Corra Linn. River levels are likely to peak at Corra Linn late Friday morning and are expected to remain elevated through to Saturday. Rainfall is forecast to ease across the catchment for the remainder of Friday into Saturday. Upper North Esk River: River levels are elevated near the minor flood level at Ballroom. Lower North Esk River around Corra Linn: Minor flooding is occurring along the North Esk River at Corra Linn. The North Esk River at Corra Linn is currently at 3.39 m and steady, with minor flooding. The North Esk River at Corra Linn is likely to peak near 3.50 m Friday morning, with minor flooding. The river is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.70 m) Saturday morning. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
