Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Re-issued to correct catchment overview and headline Moderate Flood Warning For The Huon River Issued at 12:15 PM AEST on Saturday 25 July 2026 Flood Warning Number: 4 MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT TAHUNE BRIDGE AND MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT HUONVILLE FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT JUDBURY FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON Moderate rainfall has been observed across the Huon Catchment since Friday. The observed rainfall and contribution from snowmelt has resulted in river level rises and flooding along the Huon River. Minor flooding is occurring at Tahune Bridge, with further rises to the moderate flood level possible from Saturday afternoon. Renewed minor flooding is possible at Judbury and minor flooding is possible at Huonville from Saturday afternoon. Huon River above Tahune: River levels are elevated along the Upper Huon River at Harrisons Opening. Huon River - Tahune to Judbury: Minor flooding is occurring along the Huon River at Tahune Bridge and renewed minor flooding is possible at Judbury. Moderate flooding is possible at Tahune Bridge. The Huon River at Tahune Bridge is currently at 4.29 m and falling, with minor flooding. Further rises to the moderate flood level (5.0 m) are possible from Saturday afternoon, with forecast rainfall and possible contribution from snowmelt. The Huon River at Judbury is currently at 3.92 m and falling, just below the minor flood level (4.0 m). The Huon River at Judbury may reach around 4.30 m from Saturday afternoon, with minor flooding, with forecast rainfall and possible contribution from snowmelt. Huon River around Huonville: Minor flooding is possible along the Huon River at Huonville. The Huon River at Huonville is currently at 2.64 m and rising, below the minor flood level. The Huon River at Huonville may reach around the minor flood level (3.00 m) from Saturday afternoon, on the high tide. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
