MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT CRESSY PUMPS FROM OVERNIGHT WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY AND ESTIMATED TO BE OCCURRING AT ABOVE WESTMOOR
Moderate rainfall totals have been recorded across parts of the Macquarie River catchment over the past few days which has resulted in river level rises. Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment for the remainder of the week. Minor flooding is likely at Cressy Pumps from overnight Wednesday into Thursday and estimated to be occurring at Above Westmoor.
Minor flooding may continue for the remainder of the week, with further river level rises possible in response to forecast rainfall.
Lake River:
River levels remain elevated along the Lake River at Parknook. Renewed river level rises and flooding are possible from Wednesday evening with forecast rainfall.
Brumbys Creek:
River levels are elevated along Brumbys Creek.
Macquarie River - Lake River to Longford:
Minor flooding is estimated to be occurring along the Macquarie River at Above Westmoor and is likely at Cressy Pumps.
No observations are currently available for the Macquarie River at Above Westmoor.
The Macquarie River at Above Westmoor may remain around the minor flood level (3.30 m) for the next few days. Further river level rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
The Macquarie River at Cressy Pumps is currently at 2.35 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Macquarie River at Cressy Pumps is likely to exceed the minor flood level (3.00 m) from overnight Wednesday into Thursday. The river may reach around 3.30 m early Thursday morning, with minor flooding. Further river level rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
