Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Flood Warning For The Nerang And Coomera Rivers Issued at 07:43 PM AEST on Monday 18 May 2026 Flood Warning Number: 3 AREAS OF MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING ARE OCCURRING ACROSS THE PIMPAMA AND COOMERA RIVERS, NERANG RIVER, MUDGEERABA CREEK, AND TALLEBUDGERA AND CURRUMBIN CREEKS Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across the catchment since Sunday night which has caused elevated river levels and areas of minor to moderate flooding. Rainfall is forecast to continue through Monday night into Tuesday. Further river and creek level rises and flooding are expected overnight. Pimpama and Coomera Rivers: River levels are elevated and minor to moderate flooding is occurring along the Pimpama and Coomera Rivers. Nerang River: River levels are elevated and minor flooding is occurring along the Nerang River. Mudgeeraba Creek: River levels are elevated and minor to moderate flooding is occurring along Mudgeeraba Creek. Tallebudgera and Currumbin Creeks: River levels are elevated and minor to moderate flooding is occurring along Tallebudgera and Currumbin Creeks. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
