MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING ALONG THE KIEWA RIVER AT BANDIANA AND EASING AT KIEWA
Moderate to heavy rainfall observed across the Kiewa River catchment since Friday evening caused river level rises and minor flooding.
No further significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.
Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge:
Minor flooding is occurring downstream of Mongans Bridge.
The Kiewa River Channel at Kiewa is currently at 3.34 m and slowly falling, with minor flooding.
The Kiewa River Channel at Kiewa may fall below the minor flood level (3.30 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
The Kiewa River at Bandiana peaked at 2.96 m around 09:30 am Sunday 6 September, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 2.90 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Kiewa River at Bandiana is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.80 m) for the next few days.
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
