Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Minor Flood Warning For The Kiewa River Issued at 10:11 AM AEST on Thursday 04 June 2026 Flood Warning Number: 2 MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BANDIANA FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON Moderate rainfall across the Kiewa River catchment since Monday has caused significant river level rises along the Kiewa River. Minor flooding is possible at Bandiana from Thursday afternoon as flows arrive from upstream. Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge: Minor flooding is possible along the Kiewa River at Bandiana. The Kiewa River Channel at Kiewa is currently at 3.02 m and peaking, near the minor flood level. The Kiewa River Channel at Kiewa is expected to remain nearly the minor flood level (3.30 m) until Friday. The Kiewa River at Bandiana is currently at 2.39 m and rising, below the minor flood level. The Kiewa River at Bandiana may reach around the minor flood level (2.80 m) Thursday afternoon. Further rises are possible. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
