Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Moderate Flood Warning For The Kiewa River Issued at 11:06 AM AEST on Thursday 02 July 2026 Flood Warning Number: 11 NEAR MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT BANDIANA MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT KIEWA Since Monday, moderate to heavy rainfall has been recorded across the Kiewa River catchment, resulting in river level rises. Further rainfall is forecast during the remainder of Thursday and Friday. This rainfall may cause further river level rises along the Kiewa River, with flooding likely to continue at Kiewa and Bandiana into the weekend. A Flood Watch is current for parts of North East and Central Victoria. Kiewa River to Mongans Bridge: Renewed river level rises and minor flooding is possible at Mongans Bridge overnight Thursday into Friday. Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge: Near moderate flooding is occurring at Bandiana, and minor flooding is occurring at Kiewa. The Kiewa River Channel at Kiewa is currently at 3.40 m and steady, with minor flooding. The Kiewa River Channel at Kiewa is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.30 m) during Thursday and Friday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. The Kiewa River at Bandiana is currently at 3.09 m and steady, near the moderate flood level. The Kiewa River at Bandiana is likely to remain around the moderate flood level (3.10 m) during Thursday and Friday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
