River levels along the King River at Docker Road Bridge peaked near the major flood level Friday evening and currently falling with moderate flooding. Moderate flooding peaked along the Ovens River at Wangaratta. Minor flooding is easing along the Buffalo River downstream of Lake Buffalo and along the Ovens River at Rocky Point. Minor flooding has eased along the King River downstream of Lake William Hovell. Buffalo River: Minor flooding is easing along the Buffalo River downstream of Lake Buffalo. The Buffalo River at Lake Buffalo (Downstream) is currently at 3.39 m and falling, with minor flooding. The Buffalo River at Lake Buffalo (Downstream) may remain above the minor flood level (3.20 m) until Sunday afternoon. Ovens River Bright to Rocky Point: Minor flooding is easing along the Ovens River at Rocky Point. The Ovens River at Rocky Point is currently at 3.25 m and falling, with minor flooding. The Ovens River at Rocky Point may remain above the minor flood level (3.20 m) until Sunday afternoon. King River: Minor to moderate flooding is easing along the King River. The King River at Lake William Hovell (Downstream) is currently at 1.77 m and falling, below the minor level. The King River at Lake William Hovell (Downstream) is expected to remain below the minor flood level (1.80 m). The King River at Docker Rd Bridge is currently at 4.02 m and falling slowly, with moderate flooding. The King River at Docker Rd Bridge may fall below the moderate flood level (3.95 m) overnight Sunday into Monday. Ovens River downstream of Rocky Point: Moderate flooding is occurring along the Ovens River at Wangaratta. The Ovens River at Wangaratta peaked at 12.57 m around 3:00 pm Saturday 04 July, with moderate flooding. The Ovens River at Wangaratta is currently 12.54 m and falling slowly, with moderate flooding. The Ovens River at Wangaratta may remain above the moderate flood level (12.40 m) until Sunday evening. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
