Rain is forecast to continue through Wednesday and Thursday across the Avoca River catchment, which is likely to cause renewed river level rises and areas of minor flooding. Renewed minor flooding is possible along the Avoca River at Charlton Town from Wednesday evening. Avoca River to Charlton Town: Renewed minor flooding is possible along the Avoca River at Charlton Town. The Avoca River at Charlton Town is currently at 3.80 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Avoca River at Charlton Town may exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) Wednesday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. Avoca River downstream of Charlton Town: Minor flooding is no longer expected along the Avoca River at Quambatook. The Avoca River at Quambatook peaked at 1.80 m around 07:00 pm Tuesday, below the minor flood level. The river is currently at 1.78 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Avoca River at Quambatook is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.00 m). Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
