Issued at 2:46 pm Saturday, 28 March 2026. Heavy rainfall and damaging winds no longer expected as Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle continues a weakening trend. Weather Situation Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle has weakened this morning, becoming a subtropical low which is currently located southeast of Merredin. The system will continue to weaken and move rapidly towards the south southeast today, moving off the south coast to the west of Esperance this evening. cancellation of severe weather warning for the following areas: Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, South Coastal, South East Coastal, Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt Severe weather is no longer occurring in the Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, South Coastal, South East Coastal, Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt districts and the warning for these districts is cancelled. Moderate rainfall and gusty conditions may still occur during the rest of the day. A Flood Watch is current for the area.
