Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Minor Flood Warning For The Bulloo River Issued at 10:14 AM AEST on Sunday 08 February 2026 Flood Warning Number: 4 RENEWED RISES TO MINOR POSSIBLE AT QUILPIE FROM SUNDAY EVENING A near minor peak occurred at Quilpie during Friday morning due to recent heavy rainfall. This rainfall also caused elevated river levels upstream at Milroy, which may lead to renewed rises to minor from Sunday evening at Quilpie as floodwaters arrive from upstream. Bulloo River to Quilpie: Minor flooding is possible along the Bulloo River to Quilpie. The Bulloo River at Quilpie is currently at 2.52 m and rising slowly, below the minor flood level. The Bulloo River at Quilpie may reach around the minor flood level (3.00 m) from Sunday evening. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
