Avoca River to Charlton Town: Moderate flooding is occurring at Charlton D/S and minor flooding is occurring at Charlton Town. The Avoca River at Charlton Town peaked at 6.39 m Thursday evening, with moderate flooding. The river is currently at 5.31 m and falling, with minor flooding. The Avoca River at Charlton Town may fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) Saturday morning. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
