Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Minor Flood Warning For The Bulloo River Issued at 10:23 AM AEST on Saturday 07 February 2026 Flood Warning Number: 3 RENEWED RISES TO MINOR POSSIBLE AT QUILPIE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY A near minor peak occurred at Quilpie during Friday morning due to recent heavy rainfall. This rainfall also caused elevated river levels upstream at Milroy, which may lead to renewed rises overnight Saturday into Sunday at Quilpie as floodwaters flow downstream. Bulloo River to Quilpie: Minor flooding is possible along the Bulloo River to Quilpie. The Bulloo River at Quilpie is currently at 1.80 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Bulloo River at Quilpie may reach around the minor flood level (3.00 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
