Fronts crossing to the south of WA will trigger showers and storms in the state’s west and south. A coastal trough and moist SE’ly winds will trigger showers and storms over northeast NSW and eastern Qld. A high pressure ridge will keep Tas, Vic and the Aus interior clear and dry

Saturday 09:30 z

Moist, unstable winds will cause showers over the NT Top End, eastern Qld and northeast NSW, some heavy. Showers and storms for southeast WA as moisture feeds a trough, reaching SA and Tas later in the day. A high should keep much of the nation’s eastern interior clear and dry.

Sunday 09:30 z

A weak trough will produce showers and storms over SA’s south, Tas, western Vic and southwestern NSW. A trough developing off WA’s west coast may bring showers and storms later. Moist SE’ly winds should bring showers to eastern Qld, northeast NSW and the northeast NT.

Monday 09:30 z

Rain and storms, some heavy, should scatter across WA's west as moisture feeds a lingering trough. A trough may develop over inland SA, NSW and southern Qld, triggering showers and storms. Showers along the Qld coast should continue in persistent onshore winds.

Tuesday 09:30 z

A cold front should trigger showers and thunderstorms over WA’s west and south and may cause showers over SA’s south and Tas’s west later. A trough and moist southeasterly winds may continue to trigger showers and thunderstorms over eastern Qld and northeast NSW.

Wednesday 09:30 z

Fronts crossing southern Aus may trigger showers and storms over southern WA, southern SA, southwest Vic and Tas. A high pressure ridge should continue to direct showery onshore winds over northeast NSW, eastern Qld and the NT Top End while maintaining dry conditions elsewhere.
