A strong high pressure ridge is directing showers over the east coast. A weak upper-level trough brings patchy rain and isolated storms to SA, the NT's south, eastern WA, western NSW and western Qld. A cold front brings showers and isolated storms to western WA.

A surface trough will generate showers and isolated thunderstorms over eastern SA, the NT's south, southwest Qld, western NSW, Vic and Tas, as well as gusty N'ly winds over Vic and Tas. A weaker trough will bring showers to southwest WA.

A north-west cloud band will bring showers to central WA, northern SA and the NT's south, with rain and thunderstorms possible over southwest NSW, Vic and Tas. Moist onshore winds will bring showers to eastern NSW, eastern Qld and southwest WA.
