Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Final Flood Warning For The Gregory And Elliot Rivers Issued at 11:40 AM AEST on Thursday 12 March 2026 Flood Warning Number: 9 RIVER LEVELS ARE FALLING ALONG THE GREGORY AND ELLIOT RIVERS Recent rainfall has caused river and creek level rises across the catchment. River levels are now falling. Showers are forecast for the next few days but are unlikely to contribute to significant riverine flows. Isis, Gregory and Elliott Rivers: Minor flooding is easing along the Elliot River at Dr Mays Crossing. Flooding has eased along the Gregory River. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
