Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Initial Minor Flood Warning For The Bremer River Issued at 06:32 AM AEST on Thursday 01 January 2026 Flood Warning Number: 1 MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT ROSEWOOD FROM 7:30 AM AND FIVE MILE BRIDGE FROM LATE MORNING Moderate rainfall has been observed in the upper Bremer River catchment overnight Wednesday into Thursday, with a flood peak observed at Adams Bridge just before midnight. This peak is approaching Rosewood where minor flooding is possible from around 7:30 am, and at Five Mile Bridge from late morning. Bremer River: Minor flooding is possible along the Bremer River. The Bremer River at Rosewood is currently at 0.48 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Bremer River at Rosewood may reach around the minor flood level (4.00 m) from around 07:30 am this morning. The Bremer River at Five Mile Bridge is currently at 0.00 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Bremer River at Five Mile Bridge may reach around the minor flood level (3.50 m) late Thursday morning. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
