With the forecast rain, river level rises are expected across the Mersey River catchment. Minor flooding may develop along the Mersey River at Kimberley from Tuesday afternoon and at Latrobe Bridge from overnight Tuesday. Mersey River - Liena to Kimberley: Minor flooding may develop along the Mersey River - Liena to Kimberley. The Mersey River at Kimberley is currently at 0.98 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Mersey River at Kimberley may exceed the minor flood level (2.40 m) from Tuesday afternoon. Mersey River - Kimberley to Latrobe township: Minor flooding may develop along the Mersey River - Kimberley to Latrobe township. The Mersey River at Latrobe Bridge is currently at 0.66 m AHD and falling, below the minor flood level. The Mersey River at Latrobe Bridge may exceed the minor flood level (3.10 m AHD) from overnight Tuesday. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
